Ten weeks on and these guys are getting huge. Like Billy Fucillo huge...
They both have very distinct personalities at this point. The black one is aggressively friendly, to the point where she almost knocks me over coming to say hi. The ginger is still much more standoffish, but loves to intervene when his sister is getting (aggressively taking) attention. They've been playing with a ball we got them to keep them stimulated and also generally making a mess of the place.
It's starting to get a little tough to keep from thinking of them as anything but dinner. They're generally mild mannered and curious, so the comparison to dogs comes easy. It might be tough sometimes to keep from getting attached, but keeping our eyes on the prize at the end of it all helps. These two are someday going to end up as this sort of amazing quality meat:
The trick is to give them a good life in the meantime, and to enjoy them while they're here - they certainly seem to be enjoying themselves.
